Chris Estep

Master Instructor

Chris founded Roundtripper Academy in 1993 after finishing his 7.5 year professional baseball career. Prior to playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, and Montreal Expos, Chris was named an All-American at the University of Kentucky. Chris has coached and instructed men and women of all ages for over 20 years. Chris’s clients include players of all levels, including collegiate and the professional ranks. Chris is currently the head baseball coach at University High School. His superb expertise in hitting has made him one of the most respected instructors in the country.

Chris is currently the Head of Player Training and Development for the Indiana Mustangs baseball organization, while also serving as a coach.

Mike Farrell

Kansas City Royals Scout/Area Supervisor

An Indiana native, Mike played collegiately at Indiana State University. There he was a College All-American as a utility player, playing 1B & CF, as well as being a left handed pitcher. Mike then went on to play professionally for 8 years with the Milwaukee Brewers and was named Brewers Pitcher of the Year in 1993. Mike has also experienced international baseball playing in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan. Mike has been a pitching instructor for over 20 years and a travel baseball coach in the Indianapolis area for 15 years. Mike‘s clientele consists of players at all levels of the game, including the professional ranks.

Mike currently serves as the Pitching Coordinator and a coach for the Indiana Mustangs.

Scott Shirley

Lead Instructor

Scott is going into his 22nd year with Roundtripper and has coached within the Indiana Mustangs program for 10 of those 22 years. Scott is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Elementary and Secondary Education. He also has a degree in Physical Education and taught at Sheridan High School. Scott coached for five years at the high school varsity baseball and softball levels and was also part of the football coaching staff at Sheridan High School and Noblesville High School. His patience and positive, upbeat personality has made him favorite instructor with elementary and middles school aged students.

Scott is the lead instructor and program director for RoundTripper’s Instructional Classes and Tiny Tots program.

Cesar Barrientos

Lead Instructor

Currently an Assistant Coach at Wabash College, Cesar has been involved in the game of baseball in the state of Indiana for the past 15 years. As founder of the Indiana Baseball Academy and IBA Storm travel organization, he has worked with clients ranging from the youth ages to professional ball players. He has placed countless baseball and softball players in the collegiate ranks during his coaching career. Cesar has also been involved with independent baseball leagues, assisting with multiple professional try outs with the Evansville Otters and Traverse City Beach Bums. Coach Barrientos has developed strength in the ability to advance players' fundamentals; explain the physics of baseball in order improve performance; and develop well-rounded, intelligent players.

Carlos Paredes

Infield/Hitting/Softball Pitching

Carlos Paredes is a former RoundTripper student who graduated from Carmel HS in 2003. Carlos played collegiately in Caracas, Venezuela at the University of Santa Maria. Carlos also spent 7 years playing in Venezuela where he was a starting infielder on a team that included current and former MLB players. He was also drafted to play in the fall classic tournament at the Miami Marlins complex as part of team Venezuela. Carlos is quickly becoming one of the top infield instructors around.

Carlos currently serves as the Infield Coordinator as well as a head coach for the Indiana Mustangs program.

Logan Hug

Associate Instructor

A former RoundTripper student, Logan played 4 years at Pike High School as well as with the Pony Express travel program. Hug played his first two years of collegiate baseball at Ancilla College as a second baseman and pitcher. He finished his collegiate career at Manchester University, where he earned a degree in Exercise Science. Hug earned all-conference honors his junior year at Manchester while leading the team to a conference championship. He then earned all-conference honorable mention honors as a senior. Logan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.

Logan currently serves a head coach in the Indiana Mustangs organization.

Drew Brantley

Associate Instructor

Drew graduated from Western High School in Kokomo, Indiana where he earned first team All-State honors, and continued his baseball career at Anderson University. At Anderson, Drew was selected to the first team All-Conference All-Tournament team. After his playing career at Anderson, Drew served as the Graduate Assistant coach for one season and Interim Head Coach for another season. Drew is currently the Assistant Coach at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he works with infielders and base runners.

Drew currently serves as a head coach in the Indiana Mustangs organization.

Kelsi Rynard

Associate Instructor
Softball Hitting/Fielding

Kelsi is a RoundTripper alumni who graduated from Carmel High School in 2011, where she won Gatorade Player of the Year and lead her team to a state championship. She continued her collegiate career at the University of Missouri before transferring and finishing at the University of Louisville. While at Louisville, Kelsi was named ACC Player of the Week multiple times, was an All-ACC outfielder, and made the All-ACC Academic Team. Rynard then went on to play a year of professional softball for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch League.

Kelsi currently works with softball players in RoundTripper's elite program, 5 Tool.

Ashlea Nash

Associate Instructor
Softball Pitching

Ashlea was a 4 year varsity softball pitcher at Mississinewa High School where she garnered both All State and Pitcher of the Year accolades in the state of Indiana. Nash continued her career at the collegiate level at Manchester University. While there, she was named HCAC Pitcher of the Week and 2nd team HCAC All-Conference. Ashlea graduated from Manchester with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management and Communication Studies. She also interned with the National Professional Fastpitch Softball team the Chicago Bandits, while working numerous softball clinics, including the Jennie Finch softball clinic. Nash also served as an Assistant Coach for Avon HS during their state championship season in 2016.

Nash is currently the Assistant Central Region Director for Little League Baseball and Softball in Indianapolis.
